Day 1 – Table Mountain and V&A
- Table Mountain (cable car or hike)
- V&A Waterfront
Morning Table Mountain (book cable car; check weather). Views and short walks on top. Afternoon V&A Waterfront (lunch, shopping). Evening waterfront or Camps Bay.
Tips:
Table Mountain: wind can close cable car; check before going. Go early to avoid queues and cloud.
Day 2 – Cape Peninsula
- Chapman's Peak Drive
- Boulders Beach penguins and Cape of Good Hope
Full-day peninsula tour or drive. Boulders Beach for penguins. Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point. Chapman's Peak if open. Return via Simon's Town or Kalk Bay.
Tips:
Allow full day. Drive or join a tour. Boulders: pay to access beach; worth it.
Day 3 – Winelands
- Stellenbosch or Franschhoek
- Wine tastings and lunch
Day trip to Stellenbosch or Franschhoek. Two or three wine estates. Lunch at a vineyard. Return to Cape Town by evening.
Tips:
Designated driver or tour. Book lunch in advance at popular estates.
Day 4 – Robben Island or beaches and departure
- Robben Island (Nelson Mandela) or Camps Bay
- Transfer to CPT airport
Robben Island (book ferry ahead; half-day) or Camps Bay and Clifton. Last lunch. Transfer to CPT (20–30 min from city).
Tips:
Robben Island: book online; weather can cancel ferries. Allow 4–5 hours with ferry and tour.
